Kabul: At least 41 soldiers were killed in two suicide car bombs in a Taliban military camp in the southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan. After the incident, the encounter lasted for hours. On the condition of keeping the identity confidential, a security official from Afghanistan confirmed the number of the dead. The officer is not authorized to give information in this regard.
The Taliban took responsibility for the attack in a statement issued in the media. Since the withdrawal of American and NATO troops in 2014, the Afghan army is finding it difficult to control the Taliban.
Earlier on Wednesday, six policemen were killed in Taliban attack in North Balkh province.
