New Delhi: According to a London based wireless mapping firm, the 4G LTE speed on the Reliance Jio Network is less than Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea Cellular. According to this firm named OpenSignel, Jio provides 4G services in the largest area of India, but Airtel is at the forefront of the speed. Vodafone occupies the second position while Idea Cellular occupies the third place. However, Reliance Jio is making rapid improvements in the download speed of 4G LTE.
Airtel is getting 9.15 Mbps download speed while Vodafone is at number two with a speed of 7.45 Mbps. At the same time, Idea’s network has 4G LTE download speed of 7.4 Mbps and it is at the third position. On the other hand, talking about Reliance Jio, 4G LTE download speed of 5.81 Mbps was recorded on its network. At 3G download speed, Airtel is at the forefront of 3.62 Mbps while Reliance Jio works only on 4G networks. After Airtel, Vodafone (3.12 Mbps), Idea (2.6 Mbps), BSNL (1.76 Mbps) and Reliance Communications (1.71 Mbps).
According to OpenSignal, if both 3G and 4G networks are combined, then download speed of Reliance Jio is the best. However, Jio has to gain an edge over the average of both, because it will only have data count of 4G download speed. On the other hand, Airtel is at the third position with speed of 5.05 Mbps, with the speed of Idea 3.69 Mbps. BSNL and Reliance Communications are ranked fourth and fifth respectively.
