After defeating Australia 4-1 in the ODI series, the Indian team will take the three-match T20 series at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi, which is also fortunate for captain Virat Kohli with the host.

India has lost only one match in Ranchi

India has played a Test, four ODIs and a T20 match at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association International Stadium, which has an audience of about 40 thousand, in which he has faced defeat in New Zealand only in one ODI. The highest run on this ground has come from Kohli’s bat, who scored 261 runs in four matches with a century and a half-century.

Since January 2013, JSCA got Test Venue status in November 2015. The only test here is that it was a draw against Australia in March this year. Although this match will be remembered for the Australian skipper Steve Smith’s unbeaten 178 and Cheteshwar Pujara’s double century.

Virat Kohli has played memorable innings

In the hometown of former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the first ODI match was played in January 2013 in which India defeated England. Captain Virat Kohli’s batting has rarely been forgotten in the ODIs against Sri Lanka in November 2014.

Dhoni was rested in that series and Kohli took charge of the team. With the help of Kohli’s unbeaten 139, India won the last match and had a clean sweep of 5-0 in the series. Through this match, Kedar Jadhav also made 20 runs by debuting in the Indian team.

India’s good record at Ranchi Stadium

The one-day rain played in India was held in October 2013 between Australia and Australia. Australia first scored 295 runs in eight wickets, including George Bailey’s 98 and Glenn Maxwell’s 92 runs. India had 27 runs without any loss when the game had to be stopped due to rain. Bailey is not in the current team but Big Hitter is part of the Maxwell T20 team.

India played here in the last ODI in October 2016, though it defeated New Zealand by 19 runs. The only T20 match on this ground was played in February 2016, in which India registered a brilliant victory by a run of 69 runs in Sri Lanka. Earlier, batting first, India scored 196 runs for six wickets. The opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan (51) and Rohit Sharma (43) added 75 runs for the first wicket. After this Suresh Raina scored 30 runs in 19 balls and Hardik Pandya, who is running in form, scored 27 runs in 12 balls.

Raina is not in the current team due to not being a fitness test, while Pandya is the man of the series in the recently concluded ODI series. Fast bowler Ashish Nehra and off-spinner R Ashwin took three wickets. Nehra has again made a comeback in the team while Ashwin is out of the team.
