New Delhi: The BCCI has denied the news of former cricketer Ravi Shastri being appointed the coach of the Indian cricket team after some time. BCCI Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary said at a press conference that the final decision has not been taken yet for the coach. The Cricket Advisory Committee will soon take a decision on this.

It is noteworthy that on Tuesday afternoon, news of Ravi Shastri being selected as coach of Team India came. After these media reports, BCCI secretary Chaudhary called the press conference and clarified the stand of the board saying that reports of appointment of the coach were not correct. Three Cricketers of Cricket Advisory Committee, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman will take a decision in this regard and after the selection, the media will be informed.

Another turn came in the selection of the main coach of the Indian cricket team, when the Supreme Court appointed the Board of Governors (COA) to look into the functioning of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) had told the board that the head of the national team The name of the coach can be announced today (on Tuesday). According to the sources, the COA believed that no one should wait for the announcement of the name of the coach and the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) should give its decision to the board.

It is noteworthy that the three-member CAC of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman had on Monday stopped their decision giving a dramatic turn to coach selection and said that after talking to the team captain Virat Kohli, the name of the coach Will announce.

The CAC had interviewed five people on Monday. These five people included Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag, Richard Pybus, Lalchand Rajput and Tom Moody.

Ganguly said after taking an interview for the post of the coach on Monday, “We have decided that we will stop the announcement of the name of coach post for some time.
