New Delhi: Venkaiah Naidu will be the ruling NDA candidate for the post of vice-president. Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday evening, his name was stamped in the BJP’s key meeting. After the meeting, BJP President Amit Shah said that Naidu’s name is unanimous in the name of Naidu.

Amit Shah said that Venkaiah Naidu, who came from a farmer’s family, went ahead with short positions and served the country. He said that Venkaiah Naidu is one of the country’s senior leaders today, so the NDA has welcomed his name in a tone. He told that Naidu will file nominations Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Venkaiah Naidu was already being mentioned at the forefront of the race to be a candidate for this post. The decision was made by the Prime Minister to decide whether he can reduce a cabinet member from his Cabinet. It is believed that due to this, no cabinet minister was elected to the presidential election.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s national president Amit Shah had held a meeting last week to discuss the vice-presidential candidate.

At the same time, after NDA declared Venkaiah Naidu as the Vice-President of the NDA, Nitish Kumar’s party JDU has made it clear that he will support the opposition candidate Gopal Krishna Gandhi and during his nomination on Tuesday, party leader Sharad Yadav, Vashishtha Narayan Singh and Casey Tyagi will be present. Significantly, in the presidential election, JDU supported NDA candidate Ramnath Kovind when he went against opposition unity.

Polling has concluded on Monday for the presidential post, in which BJP candidate Nom for NDA candidate Ramnath Kovind is almost certain to win.

When questioned during a discussion by reporters in May of this year, Venkaiah Naidu displayed his art of playing words and said himself out of the race for President and Vice-President. He said, “No, I want to be president, or become vice president … I am happy to be ‘Ushaapati’ …”

The internal sources of the party say that by making Venkaiah Naidu the contender for the post of Vice President, the party’s penetration will increase in states like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Significantly, the opposition parties announced last week that Gopalkrishna Gandhi, the grandson of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was nominated for the post of vice-president. Gopalakrishna Gandhi has also been a Governor, and in his name was also discussed as the presidential candidate.
