New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will go to Lucknow today, Uttar Pradesh capital to give farmers a right compensation for their land. Rahul will reach Lucknow at 10 am, where he will go to the National Highway Authority of India office and demand that those whose land is acquired should be given the right compensation first.
Farmers’ land was acquired in Uttar Pradesh for the construction of National Highway in Ambedkar Nagar. State Congress president Raj Babbar had on Sunday staged a protest against the demolition of houses coming to the National Highway in Dondo village of Ambedkar Nagar district.

Regarding the problems of the affected farmers, Raj Babbar first talked to the administration, dissatisfied with the answer, he sat on an indefinite strike. He said that the legal documents should be administered by the legal papers of the houses which have been dropped in the national highway or the work of the executive body should be stopped until compensation is given.
