PDP MLA’s driver arrested in attack on Amarnath pilgrims, police is questioning

Srinagar: A driver Tausif were arrested for the attack on Amarnath pilgrims in Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir, Ayaz Ahmed Mir, PDP legislator. Tausif is being questioned by police in custody. The police suspect that the driver’s hand was a terrorist attack. Tausif has been driving PDP legislator Ayaz Ahmed Mir’s car for the last 7 months. In the attack on July 10 in Batanguru, Anantnag, seven passengers were killed while 19 people were injured. Anantnag is investigating the terror attack by the state government’s SIT. The Jammu-Kashmir Police formed a six-member SIT for the investigation.

According to the media report, the police said after arresting Taushif Ahmed of Pulwama, that he has full implications for his involvement in this matter. According to sources, due to this attack, two more people have already been arrested by the police. It is being told that Taushif was a soldier in the security wing of Jammu Kashmir Police, who was made the driver of MLA PDP legislator Ayaz Ahmed Mir.

Significantly, three terrorists involved in the attack in Anantnag have been identified. Abu Ismail had already been identified, while on Thursday his two other friends, Azad Malik and Majmil Manjoor have been identified. According to sources, the terrorists had received the whole place twice before the attack. After this, the attack was carried out. Significantly, seven pilgrims died in the attack and 19 others were injured.
