New Delhi: Due to heavy rains in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir road traffic problems are coming up. Because of this Amarnath Yatra has been stopped. According to the information, the Jammu-Srinagar highway has been closed. Here the highway has been closed due to landslides in Panthayal, Mehr, and Siri. Amarnath Yatra has also been stopped because of landslides in these three places.
On Sunday, about 300 devotees had left Jammu through strong security for the visit of the holy Amarnath cave. Sunday is the 32nd day of Amarnath Yatra. Officials said that so far 2.52 lakh pilgrims have visited the holy cave.
On Sunday morning, 309 pilgrims, including 236 men and 73 women, from Bhagwati Nagar base camp, went out to Pahalgam and Baltal base camps in Kashmir.
The 40-day Amarnath Yatra started on 29th June. It will end on August 7, on the day of Raksha Bandhan. During this visit, 48 devotees have died due to various reasons this year. It includes terror attacks and people killed in bus accident.
