Army Chief General Bipin Rawat can go to Sikkim today (on Thursday). Although this visit was already decided after the ongoing dispute with China in Sikkim, the journey has become very important. It is reported that China is building a road in Bhutan, which is opposing India. This is an important reason for the dispute between the two countries. For the last 15-20 days, there is a panic between the soldiers of India and China in the Doka la Pass of Sikkim. Because of this, Nathula passes through Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims going to pass. China has not allowed a single pilgrim to go through this route. The situation is that unless the matter is settled between the two countries, no traveller will be able to travel by this route to Kailash Mansarovar.
The news is that China is building a road in the Bhutan-controlled area here. India is opposing it because if this road is built then China will come very close to Siliguri (Chicken-Nac), which is strategically a major threat to India. In this whole matter, neither the army nor the defence ministry is ready to speak anything. Just ask any questions related to it, so much so that no comment.
