New Delhi: Now after the Supreme Court has given the three divorces an ‘unlawful and unconstitutional’ at one go, the government is now contemplating bringing a bill in the forthcoming session of parliament to completely eliminate this practice of Muslim society. And in this context, a Ministerial Committee has been constituted.
Official sources said, “To make the Supreme Court order effective, Government is pursuing this matter and is considering to bring a proper bill or amend the existing penal provisions, which say three divorces at one time to say crime Will go. ”
Sources said that a ministerial-level committee has been constituted to prepare the bill and is preparing to bring the bill in the winter session of Parliament.
Significantly, on August 22 this year, the Supreme Court had termed three divorces as illegal and unconstitutional.
