New Delhi: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) today directed the Delhi government to immediately stop the gathering of all demonstrations and people in the Jantar Mantar region.
A bench chaired by Justice RS Rathore also directed the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) to remove all the temporary structures, loudspeakers and public proclamation systems from Jantar Mantar Road near Connaught Place.
The bench said the defendant should immediately stop the arrest, demonstration, movements, mobilization of people, use loudspeakers etc. on the Delhi Government, NDMC and Delhi Police Commissioner Jantar Mantar.
The Tribunal instructed the officials of the protesters, the agitators and the people sitting on the dharna for immediate transfer to Ramlila Ground, located in Ajmeri Gate as an alternative site.
