Srinagar: One of his accomplices died in custody after throwing a grenade of terrorists at a police station in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists had attacked the police station with grenades to rescue their partner.
A spokesman for the police said that in the attack Mushtaq Ahmed Chopan, a member of the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahidin, died. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a burqa and trying to escape from Tral Police Station. Police Constable Mehraz Din also injured in the incident.
The incident took place at 12:30 pm. The spokesman said that Chopan police was near the main gate of the police station when the terrorists threw the grenade. They said, “At 12.30 pm, Hizbul Mujahideen’s terrorist, Mushtaq Chopan, tried to run away from the police station after wearing a burqa.
When he reached near the main gate, someone threw a grenade from outside for a planned conspiracy to take care of him so that he could easily escape. ”
The spokesman said that the grenade broke out near Chopan, which resulted in his death. He said that magisterial inquiry has been started under section 176 of CrPC and investigations are going on in those cases where he was absconding.
This is the third attack on the police in the last 24 hours. Two policemen were killed in two separate terror attacks in Charar-e-Sharif area of Badgaon district and Shura area of the city yesterday.
