Meet Judge Jagdeep Singh who delivered verdict in rape case against Gurmeet Ram Rahim

Chandigarh: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been found guilty of rape with his Sadhvi. Judge Jagdeep Singh of the CBI Court Panchkula has ruled this decision. Jagdeep Singh was appointed as Special Judge of the CBI last year. Jagdeep Singh is known as an officer with a fair, capable, harsh and reasonable attitude.

Jagdeep Singh is from Haryana. He came in Haryana’s judicial service in 2012. His first assignment was in Sonipat. His second posting was done in the CBI Court, which he received after a long consultation and inspection by the High Court Administration.

Generally, the process of appointment of CBI Court Judge is not easy, but due to Jagdeep Singh’s ability, the High Court administration handed him the responsibility of the CBI court after a single posting. He took a law degree from Punjab University in 2000.

Knowing Jagdeep from the days of the university, he says that he has been a very talented student at college time. Before coming to the judicial service, Jagdeep Singh used to practice in Punjab and Haryana courts. He has fought several civil and criminal cases in 2000 and 2012.

Jagdeep Singh came to headlines in September 2016, when he rescued four people who were injured in an accident. Jagdeep Singh was going to Panchkula from Jind. Meanwhile, there was an accident on the way, in which four people were badly injured. Jagdeep Singh took out the injured and called for an ambulance.

He was informed that it can take time to arrive ambulance. In such a situation, Jagadeep himself came to the hospital with the help of a private vehicle.
