Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to start the helicopter service from Monday for the common people from Monday to Poonch border district. Poonch Deputy Commissioner Tariq Ahmed Zargar told here today that the helicopter will fly this route twice and weekly on Monday and Saturday.
He said that helicopter service for Jammu from Poonch district will start from Monday. He said that under this service, the per-person fare would be Rs. 4,000. This fare will be one side. Zargar said that the service provider Pawan Hans Pvt Ltd would hire one lakh rupees for every round of helicopter.
The government will carry 80 per cent of this amount as a subsidy. He said that in the event of an emergency, this service can be availed by paying Rs. 32,000. This amount will be for one side.
