New Delhi: Gurmeet Ram Rahim, chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, convicted of rape, has been kept in a jail in Sunaria, Rohtak district. According to sources, He is kept in separate cells. Apart from other prisoners, special arrangements have been made for Ram Rahim. Mineral water was arranged for their drinking in jail. Ram Rahim reached Panchkula to Rohtak on a police helicopter at five o’clock in the evening on Friday evening. Ram Rahim was first adjudged at the Guest House of the Police Training Center here.
The guest house of the Police Training Center has an AC room, double bed, and mess. At eight o’clock in the night, Baba was asked to eat at the guest house. Ram Rahim drank milk at the guest house but did not eat food. Ram Rahim was shifted to Sunaria jail at 09:40 PM. Ram Rahim was given a bottle of mineral water in Sunaria jail. An attendant has been given to Ram Rahim in Sunaria jail. At the same time, Baba has got permission to wear his clothes while prisoners in jail want to wear jail clothes.
It is noteworthy that immediately after Baba was convicted, the supporters of the Dera Sacha Sauda based in Sirsa started a ruckus and they clashed with the security forces, in which at least 30 people were killed and more than 250 were injured. In Panchkula, 28 people lost their lives while two people were killed in Sirsa. The Deputy Commissioner said, “Strict security arrangements have been made in Rohtak.”
