New Delhi: Bihar’s Buxar District Magistrate (DM) Mukesh Pandey Suicides on Thursday night. His body was found in a neat condition on the railway track near Kotagaon, one kilometer from Ghaziabad station. When the GRP told the Ghaziabad police that the news of DM’s dead body was found from the track, they got stirred. With all the senior officers, the police team reached the spot and the body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
The reasons for the suicide could not be ascertained. However, sources say that he has sent a message to anyone from his phone which states that I am committing suicide by jumping from the mall’s 10th floor in Janakpuri area of Western Delhi. Mukesh was staying in Delhi’s Leela Palace hotel. A purse and suicide note has been received from his pocket, in which Mukesh wrote his own self-interest. The suicide note says, I am the 2012 batch IAS Mukesh Pandey in Bihar cadre. I am currently posted as a DM in Buxar of Bihar. I am self-sacrificing myself and after my death Please give my relatives information about my suicide. I stayed at Room No. 742 in Delhi’s Leela Palace Hotel. The detailed suicide note is lying in my bag.
Actually, Mukesh had earlier come to Delhi to commit suicide on the 10th floor of the Janakpuri Hotel. From here, Mukesh had sent a white space message to some knowledgeable person from his phone, in which Mukesh had written about going for suicide.
The message got stirred up soon after getting the message. First of all, it was reported to Delhi Police. Delhi Police reached the spot, but Mukesh did not get there. On the other hand, Mukesh’s family was also upset after getting WhatsApp messages. Mukesh’s wife and father-in-law, who was staying in Delhi in fear of a bad news, reached the hotel but his fear proved right after reaching there. At around nine o’clock in the night, they received news of Mukesh’s body being recovered from a railway track in Ghaziabad.
Mukesh Pandey was made a DM of Buxar a week ago. This was his first deployment as DM. Earlier, he had worked in the SDM and Katihar DDC post in Ballia subdivision of Begusarai, but what happened within a week was that IAS Mukesh had to commit suicide or there was any other reason for Mukesh’s suicide.
Mukesh Pandey was the 2012 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. After IAS, he was married to a large businessman in Patna. Mukesh’s father-in-law Rakesh Kumar Singh is a well-known businessman of Patna. He owns Maruti Automobile Agency in Patna. According to family sources, Mukesh was not happy with his marriage. In a few years of marriage, the relationship of both of them was very sour.
