Chennai: C. Sreenivasan said in a public meeting in Madurai on Friday, “We have lied that (Jayalalithaa) has eaten idli and met the people. The truth is that no one had seen her.” C. Sreenivasan said I apologize for this. According to him, all the people involved in the government and the ruling AIADMK party lied that they had met Jayalalithaa at Apollo Hospital.
Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospital on the night of 22nd September last year due to poor health and she died on December 5. C. Sreenivasan said that the AIADMK ministers and even the national leaders had to sit in Apollo chief Pratap Reddy’s room. C. Sreenivasan said, “We had lied so that the rule of the party could be hidden. Nobody met Jayalalithaa in the hospital room.” Information told by the government and hospital members during her stay in Jayalalitha’s hospital was very little. It was mostly informed that she is getting well.C. Sreenivasan said that for several years, Jayalalitha’s close associate V.K. Shashikala was only allowed to meet him. Responding to this, Shashikala’s nephew T. T. V. Dhinakaran said that after October 1, 2016, Shashikala was not allowed to meet Jayalalitha. He said that after the guidelines of the doctors, he was allowed to meet Jayalalitha for only two minutes. Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami has announced the government’s decision to get Jayalalitha’s death to a retired judge just days before. After Jayalalitha’s death, conspiracy is being speculated behind her death, and many critics are lifting finger towards Shashikala, locked in jail.
