AP EAMCET is a state level exam conducted by APSCHE. It is held in the last week of April. It has registered the highest GSDP (Gross State Domestic Product) rate in agriculture and horticulture sector as per state government data. It has increased due to the presence of several good agricultural universities and research facilities. A total of 150 graduate seats are offered in horticulture institutes while there are about 695 seats for aspirants who wish to pursue B.Sc. Agriculture.
These institutes are equipped with research stations, extension education units, communication centers and Krishi Vigyan Kendras. They offer UG and PG courses in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Food Science & Technology and many other streams. Some colleges even provide distance education programs for agricultural studies.

AP EAMCET is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It is a combined entrance exam for admitting aspirants into various engineering, agriculture and pharmacy colleges. More than 2 lakh students appear for the exam every year.
