AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Online Test) 2019 for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Technical and Non-Technical Posts:
Indian Air Force has released the notification for AFCAT 2019 examination for all aspirants who want to join Air Force. Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued the Air Force Common Admission Online Test- AFCAT 2019 Notification courses which are taking up from July 2020.
The notification has been revealed to fill the posts at the Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC)/Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. The aspirants can fill the online form in the official site i.e afcat.cdac.in or careerindianairforce.cdac.in.
AFCAT (II): Type of Commissions
- PC for Men
- Aspirants who joining as Permanent Commission (PC) officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation as per their branch and rank.
- SSC for Male and Females
- The Engagement period for SSC Flying Branch is 14 years from the date of Commissioning (Not extendable).
- The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches would be for a period of ten years.
- An extension of four years may be granted subject to willingness, suitability, service requirements and availability of vacancies.
AFCAT (II) Eligibility Criteria:

Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years i.e. born between 02nd July 1994 to 01st July 2000 (both dates inclusive). |
Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) | 20 to 26 years as on 01st July 2020 i.e. born between 02nd July 1994 to 01st July 2000 (both dates inclusive). |
