Shahid Kapoor responds to death threats to his Padmavati co-actress Deepika Padukone

Actor Shahid Kapoor attended FILMFARE Glamour & Style Awards 2017 on Friday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Shahid stated death threats to his Padmavati co-actress Deepika Padukone are terrible in taste.

Shahid Kapoor is the only member from team ‘Padmavati’ who hasn’t been in the line of fire from religious and political outfits, reacting to death threats his co-actress of ‘Padmavati’, Deepika Padukone is receiving for allegedly maligning the image of the Rajput queen, Shahid said, “It’s terrible. It’s in terrible taste. It’s surprising to see so much being said and so much being spoken about to a lady, to begin with. I am also very shocked by it”

Padmavati was earlier scheduled to release on 1st December but now it has been postponed to an indefinite date, so when asked Shahid whether it will affect box-office collection of the film, he said, “I don’t know.. Everything related to this film is happening for the first time. I don’t know whether it will be better or worst or whatever. I feel eventually a good film does well and whenever this film will come out people will react the way they would react to any other stories that have been told and if the film has dignity, strength, originality and cinematic effect that a good film should have then I feel people will speak well for it and I really believe that its good film”

When asked about ultimate style icon of the Bollywood at style awards, Shahid said, “I think we have had very stylish people over the years but there is nobody who has the charisma and timelessness that Mr. Bachchan has so, I would always say Mr. Bachchan”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed ‘Pamavati’ which is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has been postponed by its makers to indefinite date and it also hasn’t been cleared by CBFC as well.
